CJ really loves colors - identifying them, saying them, coloring and painting with them... I finally broke out the tempra paint. We experimented a bit with combining colors - green and yellow the first time; red, white, and blue the second time. At first he was excited, but then he disliked having the paint on his hands. The second time around, I gave him a couple of paint brushes to try out. He seemed to like this better, but of course still put his hands in the paint and then was somewhat unhappy about it. We did play with putting paint directly on his hands, and he thought this was kind of fun for a while.
He also knows where to find markers and I usually leave a sheet of paper within reach. Yes, this is somewhat dangerous, but I've put them somewhat out of the way by the laundry, so there is not much he can damage. He usually ends up quite colorful by the time we get out the door to daycare in the morning!

I'm impressed that with as much paint that he has on his hands and chest, there is none on his face. Love the art too!
