Summer highlights

CJ started back to daycare this week, and did pretty well. On Friday, though, he was crying as I was leaving, saying he wanted to stay with me, so that was a little hard. I told him I could stay home with him all day Saturday and go to the donut store. He was like, NO, stay HOME! So we agreed we would make scones and stay home. (I did drag him to Target this morning because we really needed a few supplies... but when we got home, he refused to go hang out with friends for lunch.)

The last few weeks have rocked his schedule - both Grandma and Grandmother came to visit, he had a music school performance, and Daddy has been sick. He's struggling a little to find normal and bedtime has been really rocky. I also think he's growing as he is eating like crazy and taking long naps, so that may be giving him some trouble too.

This summer he got to do a music preschool which was really cool and he really loved. It was 2 days a week for 3 hours. Enough to get him out of the house on his own, but not too much. We also took a couple of months of gymnastics. He didn't really participate, just wanted to jump, which was sort of expected, but still not the best.

We've been enjoying the rain this summer and gardening, and each other's company.
