milestones

It is mind-boggling how quickly CJ changes. Some weeks it seems like he doesn't pick up anything new, then he'll have 5 new words and know lots of shapes.
A few weeks ago I was commenting on how I had tried a "threading" activity - CJ just picked it up and ran through the house making it a kite. Today, however, TWICE, we threaded - once all the way through a circle.
We were looking at a book yesterday, and I said "where is a circle?" and he pointed at THREE in turn. Then I said "where is a square?" and he pointed at one. Same for triangle. He started saying "outside" (rather than "car" which used to mean outside), he also started singing "no no no no no" recently. Oh, and "MINE", yes, everything is "MINE" now. (-:  All of a sudden he is good at basic puzzles. BUT, he no longer has ANY interest in building blocks...! He says all the basic colors with increasing accuracy, and is getting more frustrated when we don't know what he wants. Of course, since everything is "MINE", now, that makes it harder!!
He absolutely LOVES to swim. I need to get a picture, but we've been going to friends' house to swim and eat once a week or so, and its been lots of fun.

Carefully pulling scrapbooking flowers out of a bottle.
OK, this was just cute. He loves to drag around sticks.
