Crafts

Since we had the scrapbook retreat a few weeks ago, for the first time in a long time I don't really have a stack of pictures waiting around for me to scrapbook. This isn't a "problem", per se, but it is really strange feeling - and when I go over to my craft corner looking for something to do, I don't have a default activity. Today I made a couple of cards (they didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped), but I probably spent more time staring into the cabinet wondering what to do than I did actually doing anything (thus the mediocre cards).
I spent some time looking at beads online, but for making jewelry I really need some sort of inspiration - a gift, some focal point that catches my imagination, a new outfit that I want to match - and I haven't had one of those inspiring moments in a few weeks. I tried to be inspired by fall today - www.firemountaingems.com had some nice fall inspired pieces, but it doesn't really look or feel like fall here, yet.
I spent some time on amazon looking at these cute pendants thinking I could give a few as gifts. But that doesn't actually help satisfy my crafting itch!
I've even considered making a "ready to go" album for the baby's first year, but while these things are great for people who aren't crazy scrapbookers, I think I'd just be disappointed with the final product.
