I am looking forward to doing some weekend shopping at the farmer's market on Saturday morning. Hopefully fresh blueberries, corn, and watermelon. Who knows what other delicious finds will find me and sustain me for the week?!? Last weekend I did not have much cash so ended up with just blueberries and corn. The corn was so amazing... went great with some steaks! I love wandering the aisles and trying to figure out what I can use.
Tuesday I'll be halfway through pregnancy... In anticipation here are some (almost) before and (almost) 1/2 way pics:
This week I've enjoyed some Black Krim and Super Suix tomatoes from the garden, as well as a jalapeno and more squash. Black Krim are so sweet and earthy and delicious! The beans and cucumbers are beginning to take off too. My morning glories responded to the recent rain and are making a real stab at climbing the pergola rails.
I began the baby registry process online and Babies R Us. Still a long way to go, and we want to register at Target, too, but at least I can say I've started! I'm thinking I'll need a little advice on whether a few things are really worth getting... such as glider/rockers.

My rocking chair was the absolute best thing I bought! Of course it also reclined and we slept in it more than probably was good for us =) It's upholstered and oh so comfortable. I find I really needed to be able to rock when soothing... it just felt right that way so if I wasn't in a rocking chair I still rocked myself... and that was a lot more work =) Just make sure whatever chair you have around for feeding has armrests that fit you right! Love the update!!! And the pics are so cute =)
ReplyDeleteJennie, you look so cute with your pregnant bump! Keep up the pics!
ReplyDeleteAs far as the rocker/glider goes, I use mine all of the time!! Its nice to have a place in the baby's room where you can do feedings. However, I'm always on the move and can also be frequently found b'feeding on the couch, in my bed etc. Try to get one with a stain-resistant fabric that you can just wipe off because babies tend to spit up (sometimes more than you can imagine). I used this book called "Baby Bargains" (Amazon has it) to decide on what to register for. It helped GREATLY!! They evaluate everything that's available as far as carseats, strollers, furniture brands, breast pumps, high chairs, everything...and recommend what is the best value and safest. Otherwise, I think we would have been a little overwhelmed and not confident about what we picked out.
