December Daily 19

We got a fun visit from Summer today. It gave me an excuse to make gingersnap cookies! Gingersnap cookies are Summer's favorite of our annual baked goods, and they are delicious. Gavin got the recipe off of allrecipes.com several years ago and we make them every year for friends. For a bit of festive flair, I rolled a few of the cookies in green and red sugar sprinkles that we had in the cabinet. Gavin thought this was very strange, but I like the added bit of color. The change we make from the recipe linked above is using real ginger and mixing it with the wet ingredients. Also, we bake at ~325 F for ~9 minutes (you have to keep a very close eye on them).
